Riding his bike.

After two summers of near fighting with my son, he is off to the races!!
We have been wanting to see Bryan ride his bike without the trainig wheels for two summers now. Well yesterday he said, "dad I'm gonna ride my bike." I thought nothing of it until I walked out front and saw him finally doing it without assistance, without training wheels and going like a bat out of h@##.

WOW, to my amazement today he was non-stop. Fifty times around the block!

Guess I'll get some quiet time tonight as for sure he will take his shower and pass-out on in his bean-bag!!

The needing (wanting) for your kids to grow up is strong, but the next thing is , dad I need the car. Take your time buddy, I don't quite want you having this much freedom yet. Mom and dad just brought you home from the hospital as a babe.

College, wedding, and grandparent-hood, watch out here I come.

Beautiful Day

Here in lovely Livonia, right now its 67degrees, sunny, no wind. A perfect day! Bryan is home for spring break and Jill is not working. Family time is worth more than anything else in the world. Now if I could just have it this way everyday........

Setting Captives Free

I have just completed my last day of independant study. I guess I should say Dependant study! God has really blessed me with the completion of my 60 (plus) days in the purity course. Yes I said Purity Course! Yours truly had some issues that only God could fix. You see,I was addicted to porn and some lifestyle things associated with that. By the grace of God and His never ending love for me (you and I) He has delivered me from the bondage of that sinful nature and has taught me quite a bit along the way. I now have passion to be more Christ like, knowing I will never live up to that, but the challenge is worthwhile. He has saved my marriage and is starting to develope the husband Jill has wanted from the first day we met.

I want to thak GOD for His faithfulness and glory and His Being.

May God bless you and show you His never ending love.

Real friends don't get you in trouble, they help you out of trouble.
Real friends don't let you drive drunk, you get drunk with the quality of life they gift you with.

Real friends forgive you even if you have totally sh@# on them, just as GOD has told them to do.

Need to write something

Today I lost my son in Gander Mountain. I thought he was one place but went walking around. I my self went just around the corner. I went back and he was not there. What a scarry thing to have happen to a parent this day and age. I could hear him crying amd yelling for me as he was making his way to the service counter (which we have taight him to do, way to go Bryan). In less that 5 seconds a page was broadcast over the store P.A. , I heard my name, and I knew he was okay up front. I walked up to the store front end and there he was all red-cheeked, runny nosed and crying. I won't forget the look of complete relief on his face when he saw me.

Now, I feel bad for the kid, but in a large way I feel great! Jill and I have told him many times befor if that were to happen, to find someone that works there (what ever store) and have them call for us. He did and what a great story to tell that it worked. As a parent I feel great as a dad I feel like a schmuck.
I'm sorry buddy, I love you, I'll make sure it doesn't happen again. At least until you're a teenager and want to be dropped at the mall. Then watch out..............................
